Luke Dutton - Managing Director & Partner

Luke Dutton is the Managing Director and Partner of Denken Partners and has 10 years of experience in Operations Improvement consulting, previously as part of a worldwide consulting firm. His consulting experience covers Europe, North America and Australia.

Mr Dutton studied Industrial Chemistry at the University of New South Wales, and worked in research & development for the mining and coatings industries before moving to consulting.

As Managing Director, Mr Dutton takes ownership and responsibility for assuring the quality of all Denken Partners engagements. Mr Dutton continues to be engaged with Denken client teams in delivering rapid and enduring results as well as the recruitment, training and development of the Denken consulting team.

After working in Europe for an extended period, Mr Dutton now enjoys the way of life his new home in Australia affords him. He lives with his young family in Sydney, and spends much of his free time surfing and gardening.

Sean Lawrence - Director & Partner

Sean Lawrence is a Partner and Director of Denken Partners. He has over 10 years experience as a Managing Director for consulting businesses in Europe and Australia.

Mr Lawrence graduated from the University of New South Wales with a first-class honours degree in Mechanical Engineering, after which he spent time working in the mining and water industry.

Mr Lawrence leads the Denken Partners engagements in government and defence sectors and is a recognised Subject Matter Expert on Improvement Programmes and identifies critical gaps that put huge investments in time and training at risk.

Mr Lawrence has over fifteen years of consulting experience in a variety of industries including defence, fibres, automotive parts, food, and consumer products. He brings a deep understanding of delivering real outcomes for clients and more than a decade of experience in nurturing other consultants to do the same.

Having lived in London for several years, Mr Lawrence is thrilled to be back in the sunshine of Sydney with his wife and daughters. In his free time, he is an active participant in a local Surf Life Saving Club.

Jake Nelson - Director, Europe

Jake Nelson is a Director of Denken Partners in Europe. He has over 10 years of experience in Operations Improvement consulting, with experience working in the USA, South America, and throughout Europe.

Mr Nelson graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, while rowing on the varsity lightweight crew team and working as a machinist for the nuclear sciences department.

Mr Nelson is responsible for leading Denken client teams in Europe to deliver rapid and outstanding results. He has experience in a wide variety of industries and FMCG sectors including pulp & paper, metal and plastic packaging, industrial belting, textiles, chemicals, fibres, decorative and powder coatings, aircraft and engine maintenance, distribution & logistics, technical support services, biopharmaceuticals, glass enamel, brewing & beverages, and packaged foods.

After starting his career in the USA, Mr Nelson now enjoys living and working in Europe. He lives with his family in London, and spends much of his free time training as part of the Twickenham rowing/sculling team.
